Who We Are.
Negotiated Stopping is an approach pioneered by Leeds GATE working with Leeds City Council since 2010 to promote agreements, rather than constant evictions of Gypsies and Travellers.
This campaign is run by Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange, also known as Leeds GATE. We are a member-led organisation that has been improving quality of life for Gypsy and Traveller communities in Leeds and across West Yorkshire for over 18 years. We are proud to be led by and work for these communities.
We are a vibrant, brave grassroots organisation that punches above its weight. We work tirelessly with our members to address the issues which affect them; homes, health, education, employment and rights of Gypsies and Travellers.
